HOW WE BEGAN.
David Watson, Architect & Associates was founded in 1986 on Galveston Island, Texas. Since its inception, the firm and entire staff have developed a solid reputation for quality architectural design services. Services include field measurement of existing spaces, design development, construction drawings, and site administration during construction. We have structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering consultants available as we move thru the design process. We can work with you on addressing accessibility requirement solutions as well.
We also offer the option of partnering with a general contractor as a design-build team.
David Watson, the firm's founder and principal, is licensed to practice Architecture and Interior Design in the State of Texas. He holds a Masters of Architecture degree specializing in Restoration from the University of Texas at Austin. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Architecture from Louisiana Tech University as well as having studied abroad in Rome, Italy.
The firm specializes in the renovation and restoration of historic properties, and have won numerous awards for work completed in this unique area of architecture. David Watson, Architect & Associates have over 25 years of experience in applying for federal historic tax credits under the Secretary of Interior Guidelines as well as working with the Texas Historical Commission and local Landmark Commissions.
